A remarkable movement-and-visual project by choreographer Věra Ondrašíková tells a story of self-discovery. Guide balances on the fine line between darkness and light, traveling through time between two dancers separated by two generations. Where does reality end and dream begin?

A production that pushes the boundaries of dance theater. It intertwines a personal narrative about finding one’s path with contemporary technology. A powerful visual spectacle where light, shadow, and dancers are equal partners who take you on a journey through time.
What if we could look back on our lives—would we do anything differently? Could we avoid our own mistakes? And if there were someone to ask, would we have any questions? An audiovisual performance where the past is also the present.
GUIDE is a production about self-discovery and the endless possibilities of communication between the stage
and the audience. The play, with its optical illusions of light, fascinates both teenagers and adult audiences.

The production received three prestigious awards at the CZECH DANCE PLATFORM 2016: the Audience Award, the Award for Lighting Design, and the Dancer of the Year Award for Jaro Ondruš.

She graduated from an art high school and then studied choreography at HAMU in Prague. She is the creator of a number of successful projects, including Guide (2015), Witness (2021), and CLOUDS (2024). The production Guide won the Audience Award, the Award for Lighting Design, and the Dancer of the Year Award at the 2016 Czech Dance Platform festival; in 2017, it was included in the selection of the 20 most interesting European dance projects within the international Aerowaves network and has since been presented at numerous international festivals.

She currently teaches choreography at the Department of Dance and Movement Techniques and the Department of Nonverbal Theater at HAMU. In 2022, she founded the company Věra Ondrašíková & kolektiv.
