I'll save you a seat

They take our jobs. And places at universities. They kept the most beautiful mountains and bryndza halušky for themselves. And also their temperament, they could have sent us some of that. But at least we have someone to look down on condescendingly and feel a little bigger and better. Hey, Jožo, say "řeřicha"! And what does your "drevokocúr" mean? Čehúni and Čobolové. Westerners and Easterners.

Are we still cool even after our split? Are we like a knife and a wound? Two fools at sea? Do we only give each other nice names? Or do we have a thousand reasons for a hundred breakups? Do we still understand each other? A newly formed band composed of all members of the ensemble will open a safe space for dangerously soothing nostalgia in the Provázek courtyard. Because where else to speak Czechoslovakian than in Brno? The staged concert, directed by Anna Davidová, will feature the most famous Slovak melodies and the most embarrassing Czech stereotypes. A party, or rather a bash, as a renewed conversation between nations that even state borders could not divide. But what times are now dawning over the Tatras?

Anna Davidová (1984) has become one of the most prominent directing talents of the younger generation thanks to her dreamy directing style and lively imagery. As a freelance director and, from 2019 to 2021, also as artistic director, she has made a significant contribution to the current form of the theater on Zelný trh, creating a number of productions at Provázek that have been enthusiastically received by both critics and audiences. She won the Theater Critics' Award in the Talent of the Year category. In the 2024/25 season, she returned to Provázek as a resident director.

The concert is primarily designed for standing. There is only limited seating available, so if you prefer to sit for health reasons, for example, we recommend arriving early. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee seating. During the performance, the bar in the foyer or in the courtyard will be open, so you can stop by at any time for refreshments and take them with you into the auditorium in a plastic cup.

We would like to inform the audience that strobe effects, loud music, and artificial smoke are used in the performance to emphasize the director's intention.
