Tea: Shab-e Iran (+ screening of Panah Panahi's On the Road)

An evening dedicated to Iranian culture will offer a screening of the road movie On the Road (2021) by Panah Panahi. The film follows a family of four on a journey across the Iranian landscape, sensitively balancing humour with melancholy, with political undertones subtly lurking beneath. The programme will be accompanied by a traditional Persian dance demonstration by Shirin Dance, refreshments and themed activities inspired by Iranian culture. During the evening, visitors will get a glimpse into the cultural and social context of contemporary Iran and discover the diversity and depth of Persian culture, which despite its geographical distance is in many ways surprisingly close.
